Baltic Triangle Parking Scheme
[22/12/2011]
Dear Business Owner,
You may be aware that implementation of the Baltic Triangle parking scheme started on Friday 2nd December. It is anticipated it will be completed by mid January 2012, however, placing road markings is weather dependant therefore a specific completion date cannot be given at this point.
Businesses may now apply for parking permits online via Liverpool City Council’s website www.liverpool.gov.uk (go to ‘Parking, roads and travel / parking and permits / business parking permits and schemes). Please ensure you read accompanying guidance notes to familiarise yourself with how the permit scheme operates, how permits are allocated and how they should be displayed etc.
Subject to your application form being completed correctly, and payment having been made, your permit application will be processed and your permit allocation hand delivered to your premises. Permits can only be delivered to someone with appropriate ID, or the relevant payment receipt.
Once the scheme is nearing completion on site, a letter will be sent to all businesses setting a date when enforcement of the scheme will start. From the date set, any vehicles not displaying a valid permit may receive a penalty charge notice (PCN). This will include any businesses who haven’t applied for permits or have forgotten to display them. The penalty charge is £70. Please remember in the business permit parking bays/limited waiting bays you may park for up to 2 hours (no return within 1 hour) between 8am and 6pm every day without the need to display a permit
Please also remember that it is your responsibility to ensure timely renewal of permits (renewed annually), failure to do so cannot be accepted as mitigating circumstances in the event that a PCN is issued for not displaying a valid permit.
Yours faithfully
