Between 2010 - 2011, more then 40 fashion designers will participate at national and European clothes designing workshops held in seven European countries. NGOs, universities, firms and public institutions from seven European countries are "knitting their way" towards improving the social status of the people employed by the textile, clothing and design industries and reducing their impact on the environment. Culminating in June 2011, Bucharest will host the first responsible East-European catwalk during which the designers will unveil their chicðic clothing items.
The project “Chic&Ethic” is the initiative of REPER21 Association in partnership with: Fair Trade Hellas (Greece), Kaunas Vocational Training Centre for Service Business Specialists (Lithuania) Pacific Stream (UK), Training 2000 (Italy),the College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin (Poland) and the Adult Education Centre’s Directorate of Buca District (Turkey).
